Product Families

This feature manages the product families, directly linked to the item master data. Follow the steps below to reach this menu page:

To open the page:

1. In Search type Product Families, then click on the related link.

The product families control some criteria for calculating the items, in particular it is possible to specify which unit cost is used in the tax valuation and whether the calculation of costs is envisaged at a more detailed level (by variant code, lot or serial number).

The setup is optional, if there are no parameterizations in this Table, the default criteria specified in the item cost setup will apply to all items.
